Puerarin Extract Powder

Puerarin extract powder is a brown powder extracted from the dried roots of the leguminous plant Pueraria lobata. In addition to a large amount of starch, the main active ingredients are isoflavone derivatives (puerarin, daidzein, daidzein, and genistein), which have various effects such as increasing cerebral and coronary artery blood flow, reducing vascular resistance, contracting smooth muscle, lowering blood sugar, and relieving fever. It is mainly used to treat alcohol poisoning, retinal artery and vein occlusion, sudden deafness, myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and other diseases.

 

Puerarin extract powder contains various flavonoids, with the main active ingredients being daidzein, daidzin, puerarin, puerarin-7-xyloside, etc. Puerarin is an extract of Pueraria lobata, also known as Pueraria lobata flavin, with a molecular formula of C21H20O9 and a molecular weight of 416.37. It appears as white needle shaped crystals in methanol acetic acid. The total isoflavones in Pueraria lobata can increase coronary blood flow and reduce myocardial oxygen consumption, while daidzein has a similar detoxifying effect to papaverine. The purity of flavonoids in Pueraria lobata is over 97%, and the purity of puerarin is increased to over 98%.
